JOE BOBKER, Chairman, is an architect from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, and has bought, sold, and developed around 200 residential and commercial real estate projects in excess of a billion dollars over the past forty years in Sydney, Israel, Fiji, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and New York. jbobker@aol.com ELI BOBKER, Co-Director, has a Masters Degree in Finance from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Maryland and a Doctorate from Cardozo Law School, Manhattan, where he served as a member of the Law Review. Before joining THE MADISON FUND, Eli spent eight years at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, in the law firms’ Financial Restructuring Group as well as advising large institutional investment and brokerage houses on deal structures and business practices. eli@bobkergroup.com BENNY BOBKER, Co-Director, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, a Doctorate from Cardozo Law School, Manhattan, and is a guest lecturer at the N.Y.U. Real Estate Masters program. For the past decade Ben has run THE BOBKER’S GROUP’S “ground-up” residential projects and condominium conversions in the Tri-State area of New York, coordinating a wide array of lawyers, architects, engineers, designers, expediters, contractors, brokers and lending institutions in New York’s highly competitive market, demonstrating a knowledge of the industry and a willingness to execute a wide range of deals. ben@bobkergroup.com PATRICK R. COLWELL is the Director of Acquisitions, has spent over 22 years in the industry and identifies the demographic areas and acquisition targets for the FUND. Pat was one of the Senior Managing Directors of Cushman & Wakefield’s New York Metropolitan Area Capital Markets Group which sold around $2.5 billion of property per annum. He holds an M.B.A from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) from the State University of New York at Cortland, where he was a Phi Beta Phi National Honor Society member, is an active member of the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and serves as co-chairman of the executive committee for the March of Dimes' annual Real Estate Awards breakfast AARON PRAGER, Acquisitions, values and underwrites the acquisition and performs both micro and macro level market research. Aaron is a licensed Architect and LEED Accredited Professional with a Master's Degree from the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Investment (with Distinction) and a Bachelor's of Architecture from Syracuse University MELODY CHANG is the FUND’S transactional attorney who reviews the Title and coordinates the purchase contracts, financing documents, and partnership (LLC) agreements. Melody has considerable experience in the real estate industry, has a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School, and is admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars JOSEPH KLAYNBERG, is the FUND’S construction consultant who brings over 25 years of experience as both a developer and a contractor in hundreds of projects throughout the New York metropolitan area. |
